Insurance
After restoring my boat I had a survey done to get the boat insured for a cash value. The surveyor put a replacement cost on the survey also. Should I insure the boat with a replacement rider? Anyone else done something like this? Thanks in advance, 88 Mach 1

I would insure it for the maximum amount you and the insurance can agree on.

I don't agree with that. The only time that would come into play is if the boat was a total loss. How often does that happen? The higher the value, the higher the premium. Come up with a somewhat reasonable figure just in case, but your boat will pobably never be stolen, or sink, or burn to death. Just my two cents.

Insure it for as much as you can!
Are you willing to gamble that a fuel line won't come loose, or an electric teminal won't corrode overheat and start a fire or some drunk won't slam into you???ect..... SHOP SHOP SHOP for quotes, I've gotten a great quote from PMA that was about 2/3 less than any quote I recieved last season. There service was great and there an OSO advertiser. www.pmafastins.com |
