Here Dyno, cruise through these pages to see the whole area. We've stayed on the Indian river. We race the Dux boats there in the Marathon Nationals AUG 9-10 . See you there.... http://www.fishweb.com/maps/inlandwater/index.html

A boat?....What boat??? How about a galvanized warsh tub wit a tornady strapped own da rear!
Jolley,

Do you know those waters pretty well? Can the Indian River handle a 32' boat with about 4' of draw??? I went throught that website you posted with Burt Lake, Mullet Lake and Indian River and such----Man, that looks like an awsome place to be! I'd like to go there and check it out---I think "Yzbert" or whoever is staging a run up there this summer---he knows the area well it sounds. Hope they tollerate offshore muscle boats like ours---do they? Thanks

Mark/KAAMA

lived there my whole life. have one house next to the mouth of the cheboygan river on mullet. another just down the lake a bit. and some vacant property on the cheb river not far from the mouth near mullet. the indian can handle 4' no problem. they keep the lake pretty high with the dam. there are some 30' plus boats up the crooked river past burt lake.

i don't think i can rent any of these places since they all have people in them now.

great place to vacation, better place to live.

email me if you have any questions about anything. it's my turf.

Yea, what D-king said, it's beautiful and pretty deep. There's a shallow spot in Mullet just north of the Indian river( about a mile north of the river) but thats about it. The edges go from 1 ft to 3 ft so you just need to pick up a chart, and your good to go. My big cat had no problems when we were their last year(the 26 OE ) and the place is full of go-fasts'........... That poker run is supposed to be awsome ( Red Wing dudes and their friends.) The water can kick up huge on Burt Lk. believe me!!!!!!!!!!! See ya, Bill

mullet is over 100 ' deep in the middle. burt get over 60' deep.
we have run small tug boats up the cheb river and indian river to do little jobs back in the day. lots of depth. we even run a barge into mullet lake for the 4th of july fireworks.
