Bmax,TeaugeXR's, Imco's, other?
I'm buliding a 36' Spectre and am trying to figure out what or who's drive to put behind 765hp. At this time I'm going with Teauge Platium XR's. I thought they must be better than stock XR's and not as exotic as Bmaxes. What do you guys think?

I DONT THINK YOU WILL BE HAPPY WHEN THE SMOKE CLEARS. ONLY MY 2 CENTS.PS THE ONLY THING THATS EXOTIC ABOUT B-MAX'S IS THAT THEY WILL HANDLE THE 765 +MORE HP.GOOD LUCK

I have The Imco extreme SC on my 37 A.T. The motors are KE675's, not 765hp but to date not any problems, I did consider the Bmax, but the extra cost at the time turned me off, my boat is only 10100 lbs. To me you are getting in that hp area where it could go either way, alot of it depends on the effeciency of the hull, the weight, and driver effeciency and error, just my .02, good luck, and post what you decide, I'm curious. I am interested in hearing about this also. I posted again in tech. Q and A under trs for III's. I am at about 10000#+/- rinning 500hps and supercharging to 700+hp. '82 38' KV Scarab.
Thanks!

Byron,
I would look at surface drives if you haven't bought any of the Merc stuff it. Arneson and Pulse seem to have some nice packages where the transmissions fit in the boxes and I think they both have drop down boxes available. Arneson has some nice pictures of their drives on mid size cats on their site.
Otherwise, I would go with the B-Max.
