Question Refinancing the boat

Has anyone tried refinancing their boat recently? Any recommendations on who to try?

Default

paid the boat loan off with a home equity loan this year

variable rate loan right now, paying a little extra to build principal, but if rates look like they may bump up, I can "partition" that loan amount into a fixed rate loan with payment equal to what i am budgeting right now. no fees

my current variable rate...4.75
if I fixed today, about 6.875 I think, 10yrs
and interest is deductible either way

National City Bank. Home equity line of credit.

works geat. If I find something I just have to have today.... make a draw and pay cash to the seller, then go back and figure out the finance terms myself later....assuming i buy something i can afford.
