Gaffrig Oil Filled Speedo

What would cause a Gaffrig monster gauge oil filled Speedo to leak? Can they freeze and damage the seals? Also is there a way to fix them? Any info would be appreciated.

Thanks

I've seen this happen to quite a few liquid speedos. The seals do go bad in them. Best thing to do is to send it back to livorsi and they will fix it. IF they charge you it won't be much.

They leak because they are liquid filled. If they were empty, then they wouldn't leak! :D

To answer your question, there is no nead to send the gauge back. Pop it out of the dash and look at the back. There will be a removable plug with a sticker telling you not to remove it. Peal the sticker off and throw it away. Now you can remove the plug without feeling bad. You need to go to the local drug store and get some glycerine. It's used as a hand moisturizer. It's also used to fill gauges. And that's all there is to it.
