A War Poem "A MOTHER'S PRAYER" by my wife
" A Mother's Prayer" dedicated to all our troops
Welcome home my soldier son,
it's time to sleep, your work is done.
So lay your head upon my chest
and close your eyes and try to rest.
I know it's hard to put behind,
the guns, the war, the acts unkind.
Your home now safe and in my arms,
away from fear and pain and harm.
I know there's need for you to fight,
but I will try with all my might,
to spread some love and hope and prayers,
enough for all the world to share.
And in my plight these wars will end,
thus giving earth a chance to mend.
Dear God upon my wish please grant,
that in our hearts, some care implants.
Rebirth this world, take down the walls,
and end these wars, once and for all.
