I hope you have deeeeeeeep pockets and good people that will work weekend's. I looked into the boatel thing and scraped it. But I like to hear what your's is. You have some messed up zoning laws in some state's too.

I was, and kinda still am, looking into doing indoor storage for large vehicles. Boats, cars, motorhomes, etc... there is only one place in Orlando that does indoor storage right now, and they are booked solid. They also get quite the price to store there also!

I used to have my P29 at Tyme&Tyde, I was in there for about 2 1/2 years. That is why I was looking into something like that also, I don't know how much homework you have done but I did a bit to see what it would take to open up one in VA.

Around here they are turning closed down stores--Kmart size into indoor dtorage. They are all full.

I have 5 w/in 5 miles of my house. I think there is waiting lists to get in. They are all full. Florida seems to have a ton. Smittymarine in NJ has a small one. He is on this board as well.

LOR, I just figured out I was looking at your old P-29 when I was boat shopping two seasons ago.
I also found out that the property I was looking at has severe zoning ordinances and it would be a nightmare, as well as the fact there is already a contract in negotiations. No big deal. Neda and I are having enough trouble finding a lot to build a log home on, much less a damn boatel. (However, when I do pick up some acreage, I do plan on building a barn big enough to sell indoor winter storage to all my local & OSO buddies.) |
I think I like HyperBajas idea better! A floating hotel!
