Default Carlson 24'

Catmando - Is that the CSS24? If so, that is a very nice design. Art Carlson himself really likes this bottom design. He says it cuts the waves like an off-shore racer. It has a long stem and a deep 24-degree deadrise with no delta planing surface. The sponsons create air-entrapment tunnels and they create some decent lift. The sponsons are sharp, narrow and there's very little floatation, but at speed they hold the hull level and provide (what Carlson calls) "self-correction" for crosswinds and quartering waves.
