Question Nashville area info???

I am going to pickup the new Playboy next weekend and it appears that Nashville is about halfway between my town and Fort Lauderdale.

I'm going to meet Tres and we need to find a place to swap trailers, check out the boats, etc. If it all works out, we will be there Saturday at noon.

Does anyone know a good place on the interstate (24, i think) to do this? Any other info? Thanks for the help!!

Can't wait to bring this bad boy home:

There are two lakes in the Nashville area (Percy Priest is the "Stones River Reservoir" and Old Hickory Lake is on the Cumberland River). Don't know if you guys actually want to splash and test, but you could sure do it easily enough.

As far as a "place" to look at the boats, there are a zillion Target and Walmart parking lots in the Nashville area.

Restaurants, places to stay, etc - just let me know what your plans are and I'll try to guide you to em. I'd offer my shop to you guys to check and inspect, but I'm going to be in Orlando on Saturday next (otherwise, I'd want to ride in both of the boats).

Thanks for the info. I'm sure we can hook up via cell phone. I like the splash idea, but I don't know if time will allow it. We have to be back by sunday night.
Can you say road rash?

Might want to try Rock Harbor. They are right off I40 and could lift boats with forktruck. Its on the Cumberland River. Then take Briley Parkway to 24.

The Rock Harbor section of river is a little twisty for 100mph. Not impossible, mind you, but with the occasional coal barge and those rock bluffs, I'd sure hate to blow a drive or have a steering failure on an untested boat (yes, I know that Tres rigged it, but you get the idea). PLUS, this time of the year, it is sometimes difficult to get a "guaranteed timeslot" on the travelift.

Percy Priest lake would be the closest to their path.

By the way, WHY do you HAVE to be home by Sunday night? Is the earth gonna stop for you if you make it a day late?

You STILL haven't picked that bad boy up yet?
Hope to see it soon, but what happened over spring break?

FunHome: Real funny. I actually have an old hydraulic flatbed implement hauler I was thinking of hauling it on....NOT.

I meant that we would swap boats (on the trailers) somewhere. My trade in for the new Playboy.
Obnoxious1: the spring break thing didn't happen. Did the sea trial a week ago, now just waiting for an open weekend for both Tres and I to meet.

I would like to leave the boat down there and fly back and forth, but I guess it is close enough for summer here. 80's by next weekend, so the weather channel says. As if they have a clue!
