I think that was Ron P's Point. The reason it got lapped is because it doesn't have the power that Callan does.
Callan is a 200mph boat and it looked like bacardi was a long way away from those speeds. I think it would be awesome if Bacardi can compete with Callan, but at this point Callan is on a different level than Any offshore boat on the Planet

callan is certainly setting the mark, but im sure that the bud house will not settle for second best, look what they do in unlimiteds, if they lose they buy new boats and better engines and they have a lot of the green stuff.

It is my understanding that Bacardi Silver's quickest and fastest boat, their 36 Skater, stayed in the pits on display. They raced their 46 (which was built for rough water) to make sure it was ready for their season since they are scheduled to race SBI this year.
