Must be nice we our marinas are still frozen. As far as the lake that depends on the wind, today its open yesterday it was full of ice. Heck a couple weeks ago they got a 800ft ore boat and a small Ice breaker stuck in the ice, good thing they called in the Mackinaw.

Mark once again your boat is missing key components(drives) at the start of the season, with the way your luck has been in recent years I'm figuring you'll be ready November 1. I love ya man but you have the worst luck!! I'm keeping my fingers crossed...

Well, I guess the worst thing about my boat was having to replace the transom and stringers. All the other stuff that I had done such as switching from TRS to Bravo drives, extension boxes and engines were all optional and was my choice to get it the way I wanted it. The other delays and disappointments are from my stuff not getting done on time. However, with this drive stuff it's not an option---either I fix it or I don't go boating. Drives don't take that long to fix---at least they better not! Well at least it's not like I am having to pull the engines, competely GUT the boat from the helm except for the fuel tanks, cut out the transom, stringers, floor and fiberglass out, replace all with new components/glass it all in, remount the engines 10 inches to the rear, rewire the boat, reinstall/remount ALL the hardware, oil coolers, trim pumps, K-planes, bilge pumps, engines, fuel lines systems and filters, ignition boxes, starters, electrical wires, hydraulic, oil and water lines/hose, extension boxes, realignment, cut, tweek, seal, drill, measure, fit, new hoses, etc, etc, etc.---whew!
So, I think I can handle a couple of gears being replaced in my drives which should NOT take long at all I would think. At least it's not like I've had to do all the stuff that I have just mentioned above. With all the stuff I've been through, drive gears seem like "tiddly winks" to me!
