OUTLAW PERFORMANCE CLASSES
INTRODUCTION - The Outlaw Performance Classes shall serve as a series where racers can begin their racing career, work on racing skills, and where a boat can race that does not fit into any other class that APBA Offshore currently offers. Performance classes also give the racers and manufactures with high performance boats and parts a place to compete and an alternative to the Poker Run circuit. There are so many boat configurations that APBA cannot cater to each and every boat by creating a separate class. Naturally there is not one boat that does it all and different water conditions will cater to different boat configurations and boat size. A boat that competes in the Performance Classes will be assigned a class by APBA Offshore based on the top speed of that boat in perfect water conditions.. If a Performance Class boat is found to be in the wrong class during pre-race inspection, APBA will move the boat into the correct class. Performance Class is not bracket racing. Welcome to the APBA Offshore racing family. B.
