yeah i know. I was giving him a wiseass answer cus he's new to this.


A conventional hull is what you normally think of. It runs in one plane to transom. A step hull literally has a "step" in the running surfaces. I'll find some pics. It will be much more obvious in pictures than my 4am description.

Default a stepped cat hull

icoduon;t find any decent shots of a stepped v hull but you should be able to see the difference.

see if you can find a pic of the bottom of a batbat they have like 7 steps in them.

Most fountains have them. Outerlimits have them.

lots of hulls have them.

somepeopel love them and se ethem as the biggest new inovation in a while, and some people think they make the hull handle like crap and are dangerous. (ask t2x to share his views on stepped v-hulls)
