Quite the motley looking bunch...
I bet you guys were really upset with all those sweaty but-prints all over your deck and all...
It was great to finally meet you guys in person! You have a great looking boat, (and according to the pics, a HOT looking, errr, crew).
Glad you came back to APBA. Hope to see y'all again in Marathon.

Hey Gordo - I agree. It is great to be able to put a face with the name! Thank you for coming by to say hello and we will certainly hook up again in Marathon. As far as the sweaty butt prints.....that is just a sacrifice that we had to make!
p.apache - Yes, I am the one with the 45 Apache and yes, it has been patched at least twice. My experience is that if the work is done correctly, there is no problem with a patch. This 45 is an ex race boat, so I would actually be suspicious if there wasn't any sign of extra glass work. In comparison, my first race boat had rolled over and cracked from the rub rail to the water line a year before I bought it. The crack was fixed and the boat ran the rest of that year. Then I bought it and ran the devil out of it for almost two years. It is now a pleasure boat and still going strong with no problems from the patched area. Something else to keep in mind.....For the money I paid for the Apache I also got two Cobra engines (being completely re-built now), two brand new Huber 1450 transmissions (being installed now) and two #6 drives with props (being reconditioned at Throttle Up now). The way I look at it, with this power package, the hull is basically free. Either way, the patches look OK, the survey came back OK, the boat ran well and Hawk Power gave me a 90 day warranty on the engines. Besides, if I do have problems with the patched areas, it will just give me a chance to fix them correctly this time! Everybody likes a project...right?

Bodyshot1 - We are hoping to make a few of the NJ races again this year. Not only are they a lot of fun, but they are close to home!
GLH - That was brutal, but it was pretty damn funny! You know what they say.....What goes around comes around. We will have a time to get our shot in sooner or later.
