OT: New Scanner making fuzzy pics?
OK right out of the box 4800x2400dpi Microtek I scanned a few pages out of an old Gaffrig catalog and they come out really fuzzy.
Am I doing something wrong with software or is this a hardware problem with the scanner? |
I tried to attach a pic that it scanned but it was taking forever to resize.

must be that virus you think I put out

wipe the butt prints off it. . :D :D :p

A guy n our office does a lot of scanning, said to check out the DPI settings since the web can only display 72 dpi max, so scanning any higher is only recommended for printing.

It probably is the default settings, but you might want to try scanning with a different editing program. Do you have Photoshop or Paint Shop Pro? Email me if you need more help. Happy to assist... ;-)
