Water levels

Just measure the water behind the house, and it doesn't look good. Is their any one north of Lake Huron that can let us know what the water looks like up there.

Am I the only one with out enough water?

I was told, and red somewhere (paper I think) that Lake Michigan is down 9-13" from last seasons levels. The Coasties have put in several additional bouys to help both the commercial and pleasure vessels in many ports.

In Algonac the water level is down 10" form last fall. The harbor master told me that there was a huge ice jam way north of us. Once the jam breaks free we should see a small increase.

I hope the water goes up or I will have to dig under the hoist to get the boat off for the summer

Lake Ontario is a foot below it's normal level at this time of year. It is generally a foot above normal. Last year we had 3 inches of rain in April. This year we had 1.3 inches of rain in April. Not Good!

We are about 12" of rain behind normal since last Sept.

Looks to me like Lake Michigan is down about a foot from last year. It would be worse of we hadn't had such a cold winter.
