I just fired an e-mail to Jeb. We can sit here and complain all we want, but it does absolutely nothing unless we respond with action. I encourage all of you to e-mail him and anyother politician you can think of. It will take you 5 minutes. Less time then it took to read this thread. The bad news is: Boaters can complain all we want but it ain't going to get us no sympathy. The image, like it or not, is that we're a bunch of rich playboy *******s whose only interests are hot dogging in front of the working schmoes and driving our boats as fast as they will go every place we go.

It's a lot easier to stir up sympathy for an animal than for a rich guy in a loud assed stink pot. Those are the unpleasant truths.

The good news, however, is that the boat that sank belonged to a lawyer. Too bad it didn't leave him stranded on some godforsaken snake pit where he'd have good company.
