22' Daytona speeds?
Anyone have any idea how fast a 22' Eliminator Daytona will run with 500HP, 700HP, 800HP? Lets assume the set up is right on. Is 110 MPH a relatively safe speed in this hull on calm water conditions?
Thanks,
Craig

HEY WETTE VETTE...110mph doesn't sound far fetched at all...You might want to go to the HOTBOAT.net web site & ask this question over there...They are way more knowledgable (sp?) about that boat than the guys here...There a ton more guys over there that run 100+mph boats like your talking...You might try SCREAMANDFLY.com too, but they are more geared towards outboards, although there are some VERY knowledgable guys there as well that are familiar with the ELIMINATORs & other similiar boats that OSOer's aren't...Experience, seat time,& common sense dictate what is safe...In the wrong hands, a BAYLINER with a 90hp OB can be VERY dangerous...be smart...HAPPY MOTORING....

Thanks for your replies. I would say it has to be safer than my current 97 MPH Baja 210 Sport. I would hope with the same power the 22 Daytona would also be faster than my Baja, but who knows. I agree that common sense is the key to being safe. My Baja is a wild ride, but scary at times and it doesn't like rough water especially at 80 plus MPH. Anyone who knows 22 Daytonas your feedback is appreciated.

93 22 with 700 hp went 92 on gps and should run 100+ with a 2" shortened drive i would say a new 22 would run faster with a higher x the key is in the set up the boat is stable at these speeds

My bro has an 89 21ft Daytona with a worked Evinrude v8. She'll top out right around 100....runs stable too. I'm holding on for dear life.......only because it sits so close to the water it feels like your going 200mph haha.
