Yea it's cool but it's been in use in similar fashion on drag boats running 4000HP for over 2 year's maybe more now it became legal for the season in 2002.

What a great way to get all the horsepower they generate in a ski race boat to the water without the cost of a dry sump #6. And at an added benefit of reduced torque, better handling, etc. For my next ski race boat, this is a must...
