How do you convert an .mp3 file to a .wav file???

Preferably, I would like to know how to do it without buying software.

Thanks in advance.

I have had Winamp since version 1 and to the best of my knowledge it has never had a built in converter. Try the following

http://www.mp3convertors.com/
or for the nominal price of FREE

not to argue, but Winamp is the only audio-type program on my puter, and I have used it many a time to convert MP3 files to .wav files for recording cd-rom's for the kids "walkman"s. I'm running v2.8, and if you go to preferences/plugins/output, the first on the list is .wav

Thanks David, but once you do that and enable the plugin for wave files, how do you convert the file and save it as a .wave file??? I haven't seen a save file or export file option.
