The year-long activities include a special Moment of Remembrance on Memorial Day. At 3:00 p.m. local time on that day, Americans are invited to pause for a moment of silence wherever they may be. In this act of national unity to honor our country's fallen, many communities, radio stations and public events, for example, mark the Moment by playing "Taps."
