If you're buying brand new......talk to Peter Hledin about his new 30. Other than that...I agree with Phillip.

If you have no problem paying 50k more for the skater. The AMT and the Spectre are just as good in slop for 50k less. My 2 cents worth.

Packinair,
You are right that Redline sure is a rocket saw it beat all the big boys in Stock at St.Pete 2000 on the first day, and the owners are cool to be with.

28 Skater for inland water ways but a 28 Skater will not stay with a 30 Motion in the rough, Spectre very similar

I know there are alot of Motions around too which are fast, but I heard Motion is out of business and the doors are closed, has anyone else heard this? The red lie is VERY fast but when I saw it at the NC race a few years ago it didn't even have a floor in it , the seats were mounted to the top of the tunnel, did they put an interior in it somehow?

Got your Spectre yet? I wanna ride in that boat real bad. I am real tempted with the AMT Cat that TNT has advertised here on OSO. I still have no motor for my Baja yet..hopefully we will boat again soon.
Later John

Usually on deals like that you get the extra money paid back when you sell.
In the same logic I have lost much more money on a Corvette than a Porsche. The P was more money to buy but I got it all back when I sold and a lot less depriciation.
I think the same logic can be observed with Skater vs ..., a Harley vs Rice burnin copies, Cigs... so on.

The only difference is more dollars are tied up in it but I think you are less suseptible to depriciation and so forth.

You'll always find someone to buy a Skater, if you can tie-up the money in it.

My humble opinion.

Thanks for all the replies!!!!

I am looking for a used unit, 97 and up. I have no preference over 300 or 2.5. Not far from me is a Spectre with 225 pro-maxes that is suppoesed to be real clean. I don't think these have the torque to accelerate something this size very well. What do you think?

Did redline sell the molds to profile? They look pretty similar?

T2X, I would love a new 30' but a bit steep for me right now. Same for the AMT.

Packinair, does that redline have a interior?

If anyone know's of some nice clean boats. let me know as I am looking to make a move soon.

Thanks again for all of the replies!!!!!
