Default GPS Speedos ...which one?

Im looking into a GPS speedo preferably digital.

Nordskog or the new Gaffrig? im Looking for input. good/bad

I have a Garmin GPS already and want tp hook up the speedo. Are there any problems hookin up to th e GPS unit?
Any input is welcomed.

i got my from nordskog online. they used to or still make them for gaffrig.

nice gauge.

I just am installing the Gaffrig digital unit. Did a temp wire and it worked right off, it can be wired to any existing GPS. I wonder if they aren't made by the same people, the back of the unit is stamped Infotronic or something to that effect. I didn't have a built in unit so I am just debating where to mount the antenna

I wss about to go for the Nordskog. then I see Gaffrig now offers one. 20 bucks more too. Now Im confused. I think I might just get the Nordskog because its been around for a while.

Bruce: The digital units (Nordskog/Gaffrig) are the same internally. If you have all Gaffrig instruments, then the Gaffrig unit will look better. The digital units will give you the precise speed, one digit behind the decimal point.

If you need the "analog effect," then the unit mentioned by Albert is the ticket.

Note that a separate (active) GPS antenna is recommended. You can get by with your current GPS, but if there is too much traffic on the NMEA output, then the speedos will time out and work erratically.

Hi Bruce,
Gaffrig, I have mike's analog unit. great, and the look is the same as the other gauges. easy to hook up,
