Nu Era?

I have heard a lot of manufacturers talk about their boats being a "Nu Era" design. What does this mean?

New Era were boats that were designed and built in Westminster, California (Orange County). The creator was a boating legend by the name of Eddie Morenz who unfortunately passed away last year. Eddie was quite a character and spent his entire life designing and manufacturing boats...always a custom sort of boat. He was into space age technology parts and designs. He made a few of his own boats and sold some of the rights to Lavey Craft. The bottom design of his boats were pretty unique and trickey with steps in different places, etc.
