Yeah, 86 Chris cat. I will get some pics of the interior but it is only a 3-man setup. I would love to get some history on this boat. I got it out of Chicago. The boat has been in indoor storage for over 10years. When i got it it was set up for 4 motors, but i could see where it had been changed from a 3 motor setup on the inside of the transom. The hull is solid. It needs to be cleaned up and rubbed out but structurally great. It has not been in the water yet. I am finishing up the smaller stuff, getting cables and wires hooked up, getting steering plates fabricated, ECT. Should run well. I guess we will see. If anyone out there knows anything about this boat please let me know. I am starting with 32X15 cleavers and running about 8k rev limit with these motors. I will go from there. If anyone has any suggestions on props and such let me know. I have no idea what kind of numbers she will run, but i assume it will be in the triple digits.:D :D

If it's an 86 it must be a sister to the race boat because the race boat was run in 84 and I think it finished runner up to Jack Clark and Eddie Martinez in the Thiller(another 30 Chris Cat) These boats were run with tripe 2.4 Merc's in the Prostock class.

You don't see too many quad engine apps like that any more! Good luck with it...
A word of caution. Those center engines take the most abuse on a cat. I would look into replacing those midsections with Offshore midsections. For now, keep a close watch on them for cracks after each use...

ok, i looked at the mso and it is an 85 not an 86. i do not know if it makes any diff. but i beleieve it was a race boat, i just don't know who's for sure.

That should be a fun piece! Best of luck. Like Sharkey said, check teh drives and mid-sections after each run and tighten all the bolts after each use. Removing the skegs from the center engines helps. Looks like the 2 outside engines have offshore housings. Maybe flip flop the outers for the inners?
