It's easy to offer suggestions on how to diagnose a problem once you know what it is!

Dude.... Really?

Ok your right sorry my bad for asking a question about your statement thinking that a scan tool is known to man kind for anyone that has and attempts to works on boats with a EFI engine. Jeez. and you are right again - I could have never fixed your boat or any boats period but 6 years ago and back only on an average of 800 boats PER YEAR would run thru my marine dealership for all kinds of service and repairs.

hm wonder why that was - cause I know nothing about boats and the engines, I guess. enjoy your boat and hope it stays turn key for you.

Ok ACE keep on top of your blogs with late nite studying and typing while pulling your hair out for months on how NOT to fix your boat. That is one great master plan for how to get it done fast and correctly was'nt it.

Buy a scan tool next time or have someone work on your app that knows what they are doing. When your AC in the summer or heat goes out in the house during the dead of winter, do you blog for months on that to and work on it yourself without proper tools unless you are trained in that field and have the correct tools. Exactly my point.

15 mins total, I would have known your problem in my hands with your app without your post of the cause.

BUP does have a point. Without a scan tool, your just shooting in the dark and guessing. I had a similar situation with my 350 EFI mag. I would not accelerate under load. Turned out to be water in the fuel that got in thru the fuel tank vent in rough waters AND the towers in the cap were corroded. the plugs came out black too.
