Scott is right Sandusky is in the middle of a lot, but since I am a big ***** when it comes to cold weather my vote goes to south Florida;)

If I were in your shoes, I'd be looking in South Florida myself, but I'm partial to "Lake Atlantic."
Absolutely. It's the boating capital. Lauderdale and Miami. And the oh so fun Key West, Sarasota, Bahamas etc, etc right at your fingertips. Oh yeah, Poker Runs galore.

Wow, look at that tiny little boat at the end of the dock in that picture...Geez, it must be less than 40 feet. :D:D

I agree with Fever Mike, Ft Liquordale is THE boating heaven.

I'm from Ft. Lauderdale. I will still say Lake Lanier/Atlanta,GA. is my pick. Great city with a great nightlife, a 38k acre lake with powerboat mags top 20 party spots.
The atlantic is only a few hours away, so is the gulf. I've got a Cig Top Gun and this lake gets rough enough for some fun. We also have the "WORLD'S LARGEST POKER RUN' in August.

Just my pick, though some others fit your criteria.

Another good choice. Some of the most beautiful water and beaches you will find this side of Hawaii. The only problem is that it does get cold there by Florida standards.:)

SW Florida was a great place to live and boat but the manatee huggers are a threat to boating. East coast is nice but too crowded for me. Maryland/Chesapeake Bay area is a good choice, change of seasons, reasonable winters and also access to the Atlantic. Good job market as well. Several Poker runs, races and plenty of dock bars.
