GLH nice ramp at old Saybrook also has a great place to hang out called the Pavillion in OLD Lyme CT next town over from Old Saybrook. No docks, but they have a boat tender to bring you in. They also have a poker run in early September.

My wife and I are planning to spend a few nights there. Anyone interested? Last year we stayed at Brewers yahct club. One of the we have stayed in. Showers are clean, free shutte service into town and a bunch of BBQ's. oh... and a pool. Slips were nice and water was calm. Anyone interested?

24 days and counting...

Have you all made plans to attend?

The date is August 9th...

If anyone needs overnight accomodations, let me know. There are several motels in the area and several marinas that open to transients.

TTT reservations absolutely a must if anyone intends to stay overnight. I made some calls to the local marina's and space is limited. Could use a "boat count" and I'll make some calls.

Brewers/Sterling marina (631)477-0828 'Dan" is not accepting advanced reservations. Its a call before you come policy because there transient slips are already booked. It all depends on thier " residents" leaving for the weekend to accomodate availabilty. Very nice marina with BBQ's and great showers. They charge $2.50 per foot per night. They do offer free passenger shuttle service to town but hours are limited. And a pool.
Townsend marina (631)477-2000 "Scott" has 2 slips left for the weekend and 10 for the week of the 4th. An older place with a pool no BBQ's basically "no frills". This place is very tight to manuever in and would not recomend over 35-38'. If you good, go for it wetkitty! The showers are clean but nothing to write home about.
Directions; Go east past Claudios and make your 1st left turn into the canal. Brewers/Sterling is 1st marina on right side. Townsend is the last on the left. Dont get nervous when you see a hospital to your right and a road dead ahead, marina is just left of that.
Hope this helps anybody planning to stay. Water is nice and calm in the canal vs Claudios. Perhaps if anyone does, we can get together and plan some sort of a BBQ saturday night. I'll be there about weds.
