Default Need trailer bunk carpet.

I'm puting new bunks and carpet on the trailer. I have two 16' long 2x6s that I need to cover. All I can find is carpet in 12' lengths. Anyone know where I can find some carpet this long? If not, I guess I'll just overlap the 12' carpet. Would rather have one piece though.

Thanks all!

Buck

I got mine from Eagle trailer.... actually,, I called them for carpet and ended up buying carpeted bunks right from them rather then mess around myself. $80 for carpet,, $160 for all 4 new carpeted bunks,,, hmmm,, easy decision.

I'll stop by Home Depot tomorrow and see if I can get some.

The idea of buying bunks already done sounds pretty good. But I think it will put me back to where I am already. I want to through bolt the bunks with stainless hardware before carpeting them. I don't want to use lag bolts like the manufacturer did. That's a lot of the reason I'm having problems right now. Saving money isn't as big a deal to me as doing it right.

If I can't find it at Home Depot I'll just order some online I guess.

Thanks all!

Buck

Bought a new Eagle for my 32' Fever just this spring. One of the bunks carpeting got torn during delivery and Eagle sent me the carpeting to replace it. Found it very interesting, or should I say dissappointing, to see that the bunks are just 2x6's painted black on the underside. Not even treated wood.

Back to subject......

I bought 100' strip of black 12" wide bunk carpeting from a local boat dealer a few months ago. Might be worth a try.

100' strip already cut at 12" wide would be perfect. Need to find someone that has it in stock though. The boat is going into a slip for about 3 days next weekend so I can get this done. Need to have all supplies in hand by next Monday PM.

The treated lumber and stainless hardward won't be a problem.

Might still give them a call. They had it on a roll in stock when I bought from them. I'm only an hour away from them, yet have had them UPS parts to me on occasion.

Call up Jay at South Florida Trailers. He will cut you what ever you need and I was real happy with the quality and price. He is a advertiser as well If that does not work go out and shave down your ex girlfriend and glue that to the bunks
