We use a diesel 03 Chevy 1 ton Chevy dura max, sort of plain but we can hit 70 on the expressway while towing our 12,000 lb aqua condo!

Start of our WE trip was fun!!!

99 Ford F-250 SC PSD 6 Spd, 50 hp chip.

Work truck, have towed up to 16k lbs behind it, and tow every day regardless, usually around 4k lbs. Awesome vehicle, in the past 3 years we have put 32k miles of towing boats on it from 18' to 25' everywhere from Fl to Thousand Islands. Even in the mountains it just goes and goes. At 99k miles now, I wish I could find another 7.3 at a dealer somewhere, I would buy it :)

2003 hd pulling a 31 Sonic

traded the ole' '89 burban w/350 new tranny built 4.10 rear, dana in front, 3/4ton springs all around, rusted out 198,000 mile tow rig for a 1998 Dodge Quad cab 360, 1500, 175,000 miles for 5 grand :)
Could not beat the deal, high miles but no payments and the previous owner had over 9 grand in receipts for repairs in the last year. Tight tight truck. Big upgrade over the ole' rust bucket. :)
Not to mention that it would have cost me more to continue fixing the 'burban
