Default The price was right..

I have a 1987 Ford F-250 XLT Diesel 4x4 with
turbo and gearvendor overdrive that the original
owner installed. I tow a Formula 242 with aluminum trailer, total weight probably around 6500 lbs.

Originally towed with a Tundra but you could tell it
was at it's limit, Switched to a Chevy 1 ton dually-
Wifey refused to ride in that truck.. and it got 6 mpg
and had only a small 20gal? tank..

It's a bit noisy, smelly even, but that's what excellent audio gear is for Best of all- no payments..

MAANNNN........You guys got some KILLER tow vehicles !!! My 91 GMC suburban pulls my 33 Fountain just fine. Plus, it's my everyday vehicle. Every year now I've been tellin the wife that we need to get a newer truck for towing. After the summer's over we just forget about it till the next year, and then say it all over again. I only tow about 15 miles (all highway) and we're at the ramp on lake Michigan (20 minutes from my door).
I guess I just need to start lookin.

R-Addict-
Nice old Chev...
Have you upgraded the brakes??? My last '94 3/4 4x4 wouldn't stop for shiz, and my '00 3500 dually 4x4 has the same crappy brakes!
I need to find a nice set of front calipers..that don't cost $3000!
