Tim G.....My OLD truck is a 2000 Classic GMC!!!!
454/Auto, K2500 w/ 1 ton suspension front and rear. I work at a GMC dealership so when the new style trucks came out ...I didn't care for them!! I like the boxier look....looks tougher!! 
The brakes on my truck have been fine, 30k out of the first set of pads, Granted the new style brakes are much better......BUT....the rotors suck!! They pitt and corrode like a bit@h! The emergency brakes suck, the e-brake shoes wear out faster than the pads do!! Good luck on the search for better brakes!! I hear those kits aren't all there cracked up to be.
I'm thinkin' how good my truck would look tuggin' around that pantera?

I've been looking...drove a real clean 96 GMC dually, crewcab...4x4, 454.....nice truck, but it would have to be my daily driver....
