August weather in Georgia/Florida
 

Ok, I am thinking of driving the ol boat from NYC to Miami this August.

I know it is going to be hot, should I take a portable A/C unit along? Yep, we plan to sleep on the boat everynight.

I suggest yes... It will no doubt be in the 90s during the day and 70s during the evenings and night. It will also be very humid...

AND.. Hurricane seaon has started so make certain you follow that part of the travelling alerts closely..

Yes, the heat is unbearable, even at night. Also, with the ac on, you can close all the hatches to keep the BUGS out.

A/C is a must! It's miserable otherwise.
