Bravo won't go into reverse?

I have a foot throttle with a shifter where a normal throttle would be. THe boat had a cheesy quiksilver shifter on it but that was falling apart when I bought the boat and Finally broke putting it into reverse. No I just have a anodized shifter from teague. THe boat was always hard to get into reverse but this year I can harldy get it to go in at all. I have to work the **** out of to get it to go and usually takes a few minutes. This makes docking a ***** and could be dangerous. What the heck?

You will probably find that the part that attaches to the shift fork will have an oblonged hole. The replacement is made out of a better metal that should not do this, an easy fix. To confirm try shiffting the drive with the cable that goes right to the drive from the shiffting bracket I would guess it will shift in and out with no problem. There are other things it could be but I bet it is this I had the exact same thing happen. Sorry I don't have part numbers or the right names:rolleyes:

I'm confused, is the part on the shift fork then or attached to that block?
