So you are telling me I can pull off the Flame Arrestor on my 500EFI, mist in some distilled water, and maybe gain a few ponies?

Yep, it should be good for something, if the existing problem is carbon buildup, as with plug-fouling or a blocked valve.

It's FREE and it don't cause smoke! I'd say it just doesn't get better than that. Did he say FREE?

Water works well. Most engines will clean themselves up if run at high rpm's for a while. Carbons not a typical problem for a performance engine unless you have carb problems or burn oil. If you are carboned up I would use the water mist, with the engine at operating temperature, then take it out and run it WOT for a while.

If you ever pull the heads off of an engine and find a real clean spot on top of some pistons, you'll find an exhaust manifold or riser leaking water onto the piston. So it only makes sense that water sprayed into the carb will clean all of the pistons. Merc also sells their version, used to be called engine cleaner. Valve Tek has one too.

I've heard chevy recommend this before.

Does this work for that? I've been noticing that damn knocking more and more lately.

Not sure if it works for this or not??? I was also hoping to find out because mine 6.0 knocks for about 20 secs. When first started. I've reseached it, and found that Chevy says it's normal
, and it will not affect the life of the motor. Other people say it's carbon buildup, and to try the top end cleaner. Others have said it's piston slap.

Anyone else have problems with the 6.0 knocking at start up ??
