NEW GUY SAYING HI (+ have ques.)
Hello to all, I'm a new "Eggbeater", that's what all my Jetboat pals call us.
I hang out on a board called BANDERLOG which is geared toward Jets, but those guys really know there stuff when it comes to technical questions!
Anyhow I'm a 29 yr old hands on family man who really enjoys boating.
I'm in southeast WI, mostly on inland lakes and the Mississippi.
I currently own two boats, 1997 21' jet(for sale), and a 1997 Baja Outlaw which I've set up for offshore. I haven't got bitten by the BIG WATER BUG yet, but I'm sure it's close!!!
I'm looking for a shop to quote on a re-gel for my boat in northern IL or southern WI. I may or may not have it done, but it would be nice to know how much it'll cost and find a good shop to do it if I do.
Thanks for any suggestions in advance, and any neighbors, please don't be shy to say hi.

I live a block from Little Muskego Lake, the only lake in S.E. WI that does not have a speed limit!
My father-in-law lives on Okauchee, we'll be there for the 4th fireworks. I am looking forward to getting out on Lake Michigan via. Racine harbor very soon though.

Hello wowchad!
I'm in south central WI and welcome to the board! I know of a incredible fiberglass/gelcoat shop that's not all that far away. They are D & S marine in Roscoe, Illinois 815-623-6846. Ask HPJunkie about the work that they do as they reworked his bottom. They can handle ANY fiberglass or gelcoat work you will need and I bet that their prices will not be beat. The father started the business and the sons have continued....have been in the business for at least 30 years I believe so they know their sh*t. It's definitely worth the drive.
I sometimes do some boating in the Madison area on the 3 lakes there....not the biggest lakes but there are some things to do and a few powerboats floating around. I've also done some boating on the Mississippi River and the Wisconsin River/Lake Wisconsin (Sauk City-Merrimac area). Lake Winnebago isn't all that far and neither is Green Lake. Where else do you venture?
Welcome again to the board and enjoy the ride....keep the boat bottom side down and be safe!!!

Thank you all for the warm welcomes. I hope to meet some of you on the water.
Dave 1972 thanks for the info. I am going to trailer the Baja down there for a quote in a few weeks. What have you had done by them?
Also drop me a PM or E-mail next time you go to Madison area lakes, I've always wanted to try them out and its really close to me.
We go to Castle rock a couple times a year, and also down to your neck of the woods four wheeling on the "CHEESE TRAIL" from Mineral point to Monroe every spring.
Well....TTYL
