Default Good Guy in the Marine Industry

For a welcome change I'd like to relay a postive story that happened to me this weekend. Over the past year, as many of you know I have been involved in a project to re-rigg and repower my 36 Spectre. I chose Kurt Berger at Kurt's Competition center in New Jersey. Just to make this a shorter story I'll just say that it turned out to be one of the most amazing rigging job that Ive ever seen and the power from the motors(1500 HP each) is nothing short of breathtaking. But that's not the story.
During the re-rigging the decision was made by me to send my $4000 intercom back to Tiger Performance for an upgrade. The intercom was removed and sent to Tiger by Kurt in Jan of 2002(18 months ago).
This weekend when I arrived to pick up my boat and go for a test ride we discovered that the intercom had not been re-installed. After and exhaustive search both at my home and at Kurt's it became obvious that the intercom was lost.
I called Tiger got a price for a new intercom and gave them my credit card. When I told Kurt what I had done he would have non of it. I even tried to split the cost of the intercom with him but he said it was his responsibility and he would pay for it.
Nice to see a stand up guy in this industry these days.
He's has won a life time of customer loyalty for me. Otto

It always amazed me how Kurt stays so busy without doing any advertising. I guess word of mouth is the best form of advertising.

Otto, come by Silver Bay some time and pick me up for a wild ride. I think I might need to do an article about your extreme boat.

Good luck with the boat Otto. I hope everything works out for you .
I met Kurt for the first time during Skater fest . We took aride by his place and saw outer42's truck there and figured I would go in and say hi . Kurt made us feel real welcome and gave us a grand tour of his place . It looks top notch to me ! And Kurt was a reel nice guy to talk to . Later , Joe

PS. How's the kid doing ?

My wife is a professional model but she had a baby 3 weeks ago. I think she looks like she is back to her old shape but I don't know if she thinks so. Otto
