Dig. Camrea help...
I have been trying to download my pics from OPBA Sarasota and the SBI races.
I have an HP 315 wUSB connection. I used a 64bt. card for the pics. I have followed the directions exactly and a little window pops up and says the camera doesn't contain any images. Thats Bull****, I can look at them on the LCD screen no -prob. Someone said that Windows XP doesn't support flashcards larger than 16bt. That is to stupid to be correct w/all the large memory cards that are coming out. I want to email these pics, and post some on this board. Any help or ideas would be great! Try plugging the USB port in BEFORE powering the camera. Once it is plugged in, then turn on the camera. Just an idea.

Do you have palm software loaded on this computer? Is so you will have to exit out of your HOT SYNC manager sometimes to get the pictures to show up correctly.

No Palm software. No luck w/power idea. I'm about to go f-n ballistic.

Try looking in windows explorer to see if XP is creating a virtual drive..... D or E or F .....etc. You will usually be able to see the memory stick in the virtual drive as a folder.
Also, not sure about that model camera, but do you manually have to put it in 'PC MODE', or does it do it automatically one you hook the usb cable up??? |
Automatic when I turn on the camera. I'll try the explorer route now. Thanks.

Does the camera show up as a drive resource when plugged into the USB?
Right click on START, then select Explore.....you should see your camera somewhere there (mine shown as "removable disk") |
Yes, I found it there. The sub headings appear DRIVER, DOCS, SET UP, SUPPORT.??
|
It's not a Windows XP problem..I just down loaded my 256mb xD card with no problems.
I do however use a USB connected xD/Smartmedia card reader. It, as Phantom says, shows up as an additional drive. Go to "my computer" and see if a additionl drive shows up. Mine are "g" and "h".. |
Camera shows up as "F". Click gets me a bunch of sub Folders?
