Default 28 Skater or 30 Spectre

I need some help! I am selling my eliminator and stepping up to a larger boat. I am looking for pro's/con's to either hull. I know the skater will be considerable faster, but what about handling in the rough stuff? I mainly boat on inland lakes but a trip on the great lakes a few times a year. How about speed/acceleration with 2.5's or 300's?

I would appreciate feedback from anyone who owns the above combinations.

Thanks is advance!!!!

skater!
sre : believe it or not but we are very experienced specially in 28 skaters here in istanbul-turkei.we installed bigblockS,small blocks, triple outboards + all poosible combinations.......
we put canopies with no caculation,we add fuel tanks ......
shortly we did what ever we can to destroy 28 skater but believe it or not they are reaily like a ROCK! still running like the first day.
rough & no wake =it goes suberp on its size-class.
i dont know how but it accelarates very fast with twin bb-at the back of the boat.no flap!

twin outboard+28 skater =makes you happy man without any problem

I've been in both. I liked the ride in the Skater better.

In this size boat the Skater, Spectre, and AMT are all great boats, and will not dissapoint. The Spectre probably has the most creature comforts, built in coolers ect. The AMT has the best styling. The Skater will be 10 MPH fast than both. Are you looking for a new or used boat?

Default Pack, Is that boat a Skater?? I can't see it well?

sre, as Ryan stated, they are all a little different. Skater will be fastest, the Spectre is bigger then the Skater, (don't let the 2 feet fool you) good ride, and big. I had 300's on my 28' Skater, a little stern heavy, 2.5's 280 hp are better balanced. I have never been in a AMT, Ryan knows that boat very well.

Default AMT

Check out AMT
They are all awesome boats. The AMT has killer styling. Do a search here on OSO.
