Unhappy Fun with water

Why can't we simply get all this water on the Great Lakes where everyone would be happy with it.

This is a field of soybeans that were about 12" tall. They are now standing in 8" of water and are about dead. I dug, with a backhoe, through the ditchbank 2 days ago the drain water off. Now the field is down to the level of the ditch and all I can do is wait for the ditch to go down.

We've had 11" of rain in 5 days. 15" in other parts of the state. Ducatur, IN has seen that much. ( that is where Formulas are made) The whole town is flooded.

We have corn fields that have just as much water on them, you just can't see it till you walk across it. The corn is chest high.

There is a chance of rain for the next 2 days, then it's suposed to dry off. Let's hope so.

In these pics I've been making longer trenches with an angled blade to get the water to my drains.

Sorry to hear that. We have gotten the northern tip of your storms. The heavy rain keeps going south. I just wish it would go over the lake, during the week of course, where we need it. I'm going to have to put a ladder on board to get up to the docks if this keeps up.

I take it you liked the Cat video. It's a keeper.

Damn Mark, ever think about launching the Hawaii in that ditch that crosses 900W?

I hope it all clears out for you!
