You'll be at the limit. Should be ok , my rig is 7000# , twin 29 alum tandem trailer. My 2500 hd dosen't know it's there. Used to haul it with an expedition rated @ 6800 max.

forgot to mention, 2wd vs 4wd matters and also gear ratio...
As comparison my 27 fever (29' loa) with t/bbc on a dual axle (8 lug) steel trailer weighs 9860# with 1/2 tank and gear.

Whats up with that? you have like a 5000# trailer? The book says the 27 weight is 4800# and the 29 is 5500#

Back in the day, fountain did not include the swim platform in measurement, So my 27 Fever is indeed 29 ft..... subtract the beak and its probably a 26-27 again....
It has yet to porpoise...its not that fast, it only has 330's.... It sits deep in the water, pics below
As for the weight of the rig.... I weighed my truck, came in at 4680, and then brought the truck/trailer and boat to the same scale an hour later.. weighed in at 14540, therefor making trailer/boat combo come in at 9860.

In April, I bought a 30' Scarab Sport, twin 300s. Hauled it from Alabama to Tampa behind a Lincoln Navagator with a triple axle trailer. Boat barely fit on the trailer.
Nav pulled fine up to about 70mph, then the wandering started. If you tow at or beyond maximum capacity, keep the speed down.

Should be OK, but again a golf cart can pull 8000lbs its stopping it is the problem. Check your trailer tires and trailer brakes, do a couple of controlled hard stops to make sure it all works.
BTW, STRAP IT DOWN, cost you $40 for some good wratchet straps from walmart.
