Question Narrow beamed boats 7' VS. regular beams ( say 8-8 1/2' )

How is the ride of a 7' by 30' Boat ( SuperBoat, Phantom, Extreme ) compared to a 8' by 28' boat ( Pantera, PowerPlay, Apache, Saber Ect.) Are the 8' boats considerably more stable. Can a 30' SuperBoat (non stepped) turn as well as a 28' Pantera.

Thanks Kirk
