Idles at 900 rpm, 650 in gear. 10.5:1 CR, 280/288 solid roller .730" lift 115 CL. Dart 360 Heads fully ported and polished, Dart tunnel ram 2X775 TR Race Demons.
This thing never hesitates, loads up, or stumbles anywhere in the RPM range. The Mid range is where this motor shines....tunnel rams long runners are perfect for making lots of tq.
Only problems has been lifters, but that problem has been solved.
Put a set of Sonny's Pontiac heads on and you would easily make another 125hp on pump gas. Of course they'll set you back about $8000, and you have to run dished pistons.
The secret is cam timing and SMALL Carburators. Dominators would not work with this set-up.
