WOW. What's the idle on that? Pump gas? What the compression ratio?

I tried to build a similar set up, no idle and lousy mid-range, couldn't throttle it in the rough. The tunnel rams had way to much fuel "drop out' below about 3500rpm.
Those motors really tested me, great on the dyno and sucked in the boat , gave up, parted them out and went back to blowers Like to hear how your's is working OFF the dyno.

Is that Warbird's old V hull? Do you have a picture of the drive set up - always wondered how that worked.

Idles at 900 rpm, 650 in gear. 10.5:1 CR, 280/288 solid roller .730" lift 115 CL. Dart 360 Heads fully ported and polished, Dart tunnel ram 2X775 TR Race Demons.

This thing never hesitates, loads up, or stumbles anywhere in the RPM range. The Mid range is where this motor shines....tunnel rams long runners are perfect for making lots of tq.

Only problems has been lifters, but that problem has been solved.

Put a set of Sonny's Pontiac heads on and you would easily make another 125hp on pump gas. Of course they'll set you back about $8000, and you have to run dished pistons.

The secret is cam timing and SMALL Carburators. Dominators would not work with this set-up.

Makes 820 ft/# @4900.
