Not a Ford {Found On Road Dead} car man myself...
But...Those 5.0 mustangs are easy to hop up & parts are cheap. They are a ball to drive...Kinda like a go-cart

I agree and have done what most here are saying. I owned several trans ams and camaro's during high school. Mustang LX's and Gt's were just toasting everything so I got one myself. My choice....I'd find a clean LX and throw a few goodies on it. They are a blast to drive and quick too......and very reliable. My LX had 130K miles and still running strong. I recently sold my 95GT which had 115K and ran strong. Parts are cheap and plentyful for the 5.0 cars.

Id go with the 944. I drove one for years and loved it. The Porsche club has autocross events all over. Like was said above its not a rocket on the drag strip but kicks a$$ in the twisties.
Find a good mechanic and have him go over it before you buy it. There are service intervals that need to be followed, inparticular a timing belt service every 60k I think.
The 944 Turbo is way fast BUT it is not the same to maintain, most parts are double the cost of the 944.

Here's one to consider. I found this while checking out some naked women this morning on watchersweb.

944

Had one for four years beat it like a rented mule and it always came back for more, sold it the same price I bought it for! Besides you want it to say Porsche on the back!

I agree! Not to mention you said you wanted to live a while. Pick up a Bronco, Blazer, or Suburban. The added room in back can come in handy for a guy your age. And you can pull the boat.

Out of the 3 you metioned I would go Porsche 944. Because chicks dig it....just kidding...not really but it is a great engineered car.

If you really want the baddest though I would go with a McClaren (sp?) F-1 that's the bad boy. Purchase Price?

A cool 1 million dollars give or take

The boat is at the dock, can borrow dads van if I want, so dont need a tow vehicle.
