Would love to have bravo's. But the cost to convert would be close to $10,000 - per Danny. Would have to glass transem and the old drives aren't worth much.
The current drives work and work well. I will probobly say with them until I break one. But you are right, the ride is probobly a hell of alot better with bravos as well as parts and props, but I can'y jusitify the added cost to this old of a boat right now. :( |
stellings sells a TRS to Bravo conversion box that bolts to the outside of the TRS gimbal and the bravo bolts right into the other end. I think they are pretty pricey though:(

I'd venture to argue about the bravo's, If your trs isn't broke don't change it. Other than the few mph you may pick up The trs is a good, smooth shifting long lasting drive and with small blocks it'll prolly last forever. Plus Moving your motors back would change the whole way that boat is balanced. my.02

:D :D :D
TRS??? I'm running 'Stern Powr' MX-07's - old racing drives. Very similiar to drive shown at: www.jtmperformancemarine.com/photogallery.htm These things are massive and have a massive hole cut-thru at the transem. No conversion kits that I know of. I think the $10,000 I spoke about above is pretty close to a change out for me :( |
