I have an Olympus and its great.
You have to get over 3Megapixels.
OFOTO makes developing a snap.
They are kinda slow to take a picture compared to my SLR.

Don't buy a digital camera....it will be obsolete in 6 months. Everybody is going back to regular film within a year.

I agree, my digitals are already obsolete and I am back to my SRL, it takes much better pics and now I get everything put on a CD (for $2.00) when the film is developed.

I've been digital since 97 I'll never will go back
spent a lot of cash in the begining.
Stay away from digital zoom get at least a 8x or better Optical Zoom. a big quality lens is a must.
Olympus or Nikon for semi pro models
under 1100.00 Printing pictures at home will not
produce a print that last anywhere as long a a real
photo's. Good new is more places can print you digital photos now, and they are on the same paper and last as long as real photo's

I just purchased the Cannon S400 Coach Edition and what's super kewl is I can do actual video with sound or still frame on one Gizzmo :P (That's my kitty's name). I spent 799.00 at Good Guys.
What came with it was a Coach case for the Camera (A MUST)and an additional memory card. I bought it because I was going on a fishing trip and was wasting film on bad pictures. On a digital you can actually edit what you do and don't want.
The software is awesome to. You can create Mini movies. NORTY WOULD LOVE THAT WITH ALL THE IMAGERY THAT HE DOES. :P

Here's a pic of a fish I caught... The little punk took off right when I got the hook out of his mouth. I wanted a picture holding him but he was to fast.

Oh and you don't want anything less the 4.0 (mega pixel's because the quality of the picture totally suffers and the size of the print is limited. Right now Cannon Digital Camera's are the pick of the litter)
