Early one morning while driving to work I stopped by the wet pits (at Jack Bakers Lobster Shanty) prior to start of a Bennihana Grand Prix.
I don't recall the name on the boat but I was sitting on the dock facing the stern of one. The mechanic called "fire in the hole!!" and cranked engine up then fired the other.
I had goose bumps and a big woody. I couldn't have been more than 10' back from the pipes. What a sound. Man, I was in heaven.
Guess I sat there for 10-15 minutes just listening. I wound up late for work and my ears rang all day, but it was worth it.
