Taking a poll on which restaurant on the Chesapeake Bay and its tributarys that is accessible by boat has the best crabcake.

I think Middletons Tavern at city dock has the best crab cakes. But for a nice place to stop with good crab cakes too, I usually go to Magothy Seafood on Mill Creek off the Magothy. Of course, I just happen to live a little way up Mill Creek myself.

Would have to agree that Stoney's on Pax River and now on Solomons Island has best crabcake on the Chesapeake and I would venture to say probably the best that I have ever had.

I've got to agree on Stoney's for the crabcake. However it's just not worth the $150-200 for gas to get there for me So i'll vote for Captain Billy's

If you want to go by car though; Timbuktu near Ft. Meade has my vote hands down.

How about the "Crab Shack" on the Newport News side of the James River Bridge.

Do you think Captain Billy's is as good as it used to be? I would give them an "A" for atmosphere, but I think their food is so-so.

P.S. Will we see your new Cig on the Potomac this season?

My name is Craig and I'm addicted to BACKFINS. "If I had a dollar for each of those red drinks........
It's not even close to the "good ole days", but I've been going there for over 20 years.

I won't know for a few weeks what our timeline on the Cig will be I like to do things right the first time (engines)
