Although, the 28 Pantera will handle the bigger water at LOTO better than your 288 Sunsation, I don't it would be a dramatic difference you're lookin for. Don't get me wrong, my 28 handles the rough great and better than a lot of boats bigger than it. If you want to see a big change though, you will have to go bigger. I did ride in Lutz's new 311 Formula and it handled the bigger water significantly better than my boat.

lotoparty, have you considered stepping up to a 32 Sunsation Dominator, I have a '96 with twins 7.4L that I would consider selling in your price range. I am re powering with 500hp's over the winter if I don't sell.
