I'm at LOTO 4 to 6 times a year,
my 29 is adequate, but if I was a "regular"
down there, I would have something bigger
( ideally a 38 ft. hull length)

But here are some others in the size range
that aren't listed that you may want to
consider ( I'm biased toward the high side here)

31 sonic
31 scarab
35 fountain
32 outlaw/caliber

Any of these will get around fine
down there.

I gotta plug my current ride since it has, without question, the best headroom (5'6") and amentity list for a 34 that I could find when I was looking for mine a year or so ago. PowerQuest's 340 Vyper is a GREAT bang for the buck and has everything that you could ask for with stock power. I get a real 80 GPS with stock 496 HO's/28P Bravo 1's and mine has EVERY option that will add weight (A/C and heat, porcelean vacuflush head with holding tank and macerator/overboard discharge, hot water tank, fresh water system with shower on transom and in head, complete galley with fridge and micro, etc.). I couldn't find too many others that offered all that for a great price, ride, style, speed, etc. Plus PQ will customize almost anything if you ask. Since I had mine built, I did and I have a one of kind...

There are a lot of good boats to choose from but for a 34 foot; PQ gets my vote.

Just my $.02.

Of the ones in your "poll", I would think that a 31-foot Cigarette Bullet would be your best choice.

However, you may want to consider the following boats...

35-foot Cigarette Mistress - great wave crusher

31-foot Sonic 31ss - awesome cabin

35-foot Nordic - very fast for a V-hull

32-foot Fountain Fever - some people love 'em and some people hate 'em, but there's no denying the BEAK!

Good luck!

Thumbs up

I own a 28' Saber and am very happy with it. I run on Lake Michigan in all types of water and never worry about hull structural issues. Very fun to drive. Resale can be a challenge because most people don't know much about Saber - but are you buying the boat to enjoy or to resell?
